Primeira Liga (Week 9) : Benfica beats Tondela 4-0
PORTUGAL, Oct. 30, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 9: After losing 0-3 to Sporting Lisbon on October 25, the Eagles returned to winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Tondela this Friday.
Benfica dominated the first half thanks to goals from Jonas Congalves ('4), Berger ('11 own) and Guedes ('42). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Eagles further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Carcela-gonzalez Mehdi with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
SL Benfica climbed to third place with 15 points from 8 games, 3 points behind FC Porto.
