Primeira Liga (Week 10) : Sporting beats Arouca 1-0
PORTUGAL, Nov. 8, 2015 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 10: Four wins in a row for Sporting Lisbon. After their success against Vitoria Guimaraes, Benfica and Estoril, the Sportinguistas continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 1-0 victory over Arouca this Sunday.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Algerian forward Islam Slimani seconds before the end of regulation.
Sporting Clube de Portugal remains in first place with 26 points from 10 games, a 5-point lead over runner-up FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
