Primeira Liga (Week 17) : Benfica hold Boavista to 3-3
PORTUGAL, Jan. 14, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 17: Benfica was held to a 3-3 draw by Boavista on Saturday.
Boavista players started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Medeiros ('14), Tagliapietra Lucas ('20) and Schembri ('25) while Benfica only scored once Mitroglou Kostas ('41). However, even though they were leading 3-1 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Benfica with goals by Jonas Oliveira ('53 on penalty) and Espinho Fabio ('67 own).
SL Benfica remains in first place with 42 points from 17 games, a 7-point lead over runner-up FC Porto, which has a game in hand.
