Primeira Liga (Week 21) : Porto defeats Guimaraes 2-0
PORTUGAL, Feb. 11, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 21: Five wins in a row for Porto. After their success against Moreirense, Rio Ave, Estoril and Sporting Lisbon, the Dragons continued their sensational form in the Primeira Liga with a 2-0 victory over Vitoria Guimaraes this Saturday.
Porto dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Brazilian forward Soares Francisco in the 36th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Dragons further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Jota with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
FC Porto remains in second place with 50 points from 21 games, one point behind SL Benfica.
