PORTUGAL, Apr. 10, 2017 (AMP) — Primeira Liga / Match day 28: After their 3-3 draw against Braga on April 2, the Verde-Rubros bounced back with a 2-1 victory over Chaves this Monday.
Maritimo dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Keita Alhassane in the 37th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Verde-Rubros further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Xavier with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
CS Maritimo remains in 6th place with 44 points from 28 games, 6 points behind Vitoria SC.
