Segunda division (Week 23) : Las Palmas defeats Mallorca 2-1
SPAIN, Jan. 31, 2015 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 23: After their 1-1 draw against Alavés on January 25 and 0-0 draw against Llagostera on January 25, Los Amarillos returned to winning ways with a 2-1 victory over Mallorca this Saturday.
Mallorca had started off well by taking the lead in the 21st minute with a goal by Arana. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Los Amarillos nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Ortuno '72 and Momo '90 on penalty).
UD Las Palmas remains in first place with 47 points from 23 games, a 3-point lead over runner-up Real Sporting de Gijon.
