SPAIN, Jan. 24, 2016 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 22: Two wins in a row for Elche. After their 2-0 win against Alcorcon on January 16, Los Franjiverdes continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 1-0 victory over Ponferradina this Sunday.
45 minutes of play and neither Elche nor Ponferradina have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Leon Sergio in the 79th minute.
Elche CF climbed to 8th place with 34 points from 22 games, tie on points with AD Alcorcon.
