Segunda division (Week 28) : Girona beats Getafe 5-1
SPAIN, Mar. 4, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 28: Three wins in a row for Girona. After their success against Mallorca and Mirandés, the Blanquivermells continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 5-1 victory over Getafe this Saturday.
Longo Samuele scored dual goals
Girona dominated the first half thanks to goals from Olivas Kiko ('19), Garcia Borja ('26) and Granell Alex ('34 on penalty). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Blanquivermells further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Longo Samuele '60, '85).
Girona FC remains in second place with 44 points from 23 games, 4 points behind Levante UD, which has a game in hand.
