Segunda division (Week 28) : Levante beats Elche 2-1
SPAIN, Mar. 5, 2017 (AMP) — Segunda division / Match day 28: Four wins in a row for Levante. After their success against Gimnastic de Tarragona, Zaragoza and Cordoba, Les Granotes continued their sensational form in the Segunda division with a 2-1 victory over Elche this Sunday.
Elche had started off well by taking the lead in the 3rd minute with a goal by Nino Juan. Trailing 1-0 at half time, Les Granotes nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Casadesus Victor '53 and Munoz Juan '87 on penalty).
Levante UD remains in first place with 51 points from 23 games, a 7-point lead over runner-up Girona FC.
