Serie A (Week 16) : Fiorentina and Empoli play to a 1-1 draw
ITALY, Dec. 21, 2014 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 16: The match between Fiorentina and Empoli ended in a 1-1 draw on Sunday.
Fiorentina players started off well by taking the lead thanks to Peruvian midfielder Juan Manuel Vargas in the 44th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Empoli with a saving goal from Empoli defender Lorenzo Tonelli in the 57th minute.
ACF Fiorentina remains in 8th place with 24 points from 16 games, one point behind AC Milan.
