ITALY, Oct. 2, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 7: After a 1-1 draw with Bologna on September 25, the Beneamata lost 2-1 against AS Roma.
AS Roma dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Bosnian forward Edin Džeko in the 5th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Giallorossi further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Manolas in the 76th minute.
AS Roma climbed to third place with 13 points from 7 games, only one point behind Napoli.
