Serie A (Week 18) : Cagliari defeats Sassuolo 4-3
ITALY, Dec. 22, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 18: After losing 0-5 to Napoli on December 17 and 2-0 to Empoli on December 17, the Rossoblu returned to winning ways with a 4-3 victory over Sassuolo this Thursday.
Farias Diego scored dual goals
Sassuolo had started off well by taking the lead thanks to goals by Adjapong Claud ('29) and Pellegrini ('33), while Cagliari only scored once Sau Marco ('14). Trailing 2-1 at half time, the Rossoblu nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring three times in the second period (Borriello '62 and Farias Diego '73, '75).
Cagliari climbed to 14th place with 23 points from 18 games, tie on points with UC Sampdoria.
