ITALY, Dec. 17, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 17: After their 0-0 draw against Bologna on December 11, the Azzurri bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Cagliari this Saturday.
Levan Mchedlidze scored dual goals
Empoli dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Georgian forward Levan Mchedlidze in the 8th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Azzurri further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Mchedlidze in the 72nd minute.
Cagliari remains in 14th place with 20 points from 17 games, one point behind Udinese, which has a game in hand.
