Serie A (Week 16) : Napoli beats Cagliari 5-0
ITALY, Dec. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 16: Two wins in a row for Napoli. After their 3-0 win against Inter Milan on December 2, the Partenopei continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 5-0 victory over Cagliari this Sunday.
Dries Mertens scored tripple goals
Napoli dominated the first half thanks to goals from Mertens ('34) and Hamsik ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Partenopei further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Zieliński '51 and Mertens '69, '72).
Napoli remains in fourth place with 31 points from 16 games, one point behind AC Milan, which has a game in hand.
