Serie A (Week 16) : Chievo defeats Palermo 2-0
ITALY, Dec. 11, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 16: After their 0-0 draw against Genoa on December 5, the Gialloblu bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Palermo this Sunday.
Chievo dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Slovenian forward Valter Birsa in the 14th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Gialloblu further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Pellissier in the 49th minute.
AC Chievo Verona climbed to 9th place with 22 points from 16 games, only one point behind ACF Fiorentina, which has two games in hand.
