ITALY, Dec. 18, 2016 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 17: Three wins in a row for Napoli. After their success against Inter Milan and Cagliari, the Partenopei continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 5-3 victory over Torino this Sunday.
Dries Mertens served up another goal feast
Napoli dominated the first half thanks to goals from Mertens ('13, '18 on penalty, '22). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Partenopei further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Chiricheş '70 and Mertens '80).
Napoli climbed to third place with 34 points from 17 games, only one point behind AS Roma.
