Serie A (Week 12) : Samp defeats Genoa 2-0
ITALY, Nov. 4, 2017 (AMP) — Serie A / Match day 12: Two wins in a row for Sampdoria. After their 4-1 win against Chievo on October 29, the Blucerchiati continued their sensational form in the Serie A with a 2-0 victory over Genoa this Saturday.
Sampdoria dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Uruguayan midfielder Gastón Ramírez in the 24th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Blucerchiati further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Quagliarella with just 6 minutes remaining in regulation time.
UC Sampdoria remains in 6th place with 23 points from 11 games, one point behind AS Roma, which has a game in hand.
