ITALY, Sep. 7, 2014 (AMP) — Serie B / Match day 2: After their 3-3 draw against Catania on August 30, the Frentani bounced back with a 2-0 victory over Modena this Sunday.
Virtus Lanciano dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Gatto in the 28th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Frentani further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Thiam in the 46th minute.
Virtus Lanciano climbed to first place with 4 points from 2 games, tie on points with runner-up AS Cittadella.
