Cittadella made Benevento doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Ceravolo Fabio with just 10 minutes remaining in regulation time.
Benevento Calcio climbed to third place with 25 points from 14 games, 2 points behind Frosinone Calcio.
