SANTIAGO, Jun. 7, 1962 (AMP) — Chile 62 : Italy defeated Switzerland by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Thursday afternoon at the Estadio Nacional de Chile in Santiago.
Giacomo Bulgarelli scored dual goals
Italy dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Bruno Mora in the 1st minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Italians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Bulgarelli '65, '67).
