GUADALAJARA, Jun. 10, 1970 (AMP) — Mexico 70 : Brazil defeated Romania by a score of 3-2 (halftime: 2-1), in a World Cup group stage game on Wednesday afternoon at the Jalisco Stadium in Guadalajara.
Pelé scored dual goals
Brazil dominated the first half thanks to goals from Pelé ('19) and Jairzinho ('22). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Brazilians further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Pelé in the 67th minute.
