STUTTGART, Jun. 26, 1974 (AMP) — Germany 74 : Poland defeated Sweden by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup second round game on Wednesday night at the Neckarstadion in Stuttgart.

All the action happened in the first half, with Polish striker Grzegorz Lato goal in the 43rd minute.

The result put the Pole second in Group B with 2 points. In their next game, Poland will meet Yugoslavia at the Neckarstadion on June 30, while Sweden will face Germany.
