LEóN, Jun. 9, 1986 (AMP) — Mexico 86 : France defeated Hungary by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Monday at the Estadio León.
France dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Yannick Stopyra in the 29th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Frenchs further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Tigana '62 and Rocheteau '84).
