QUERéTARO, Jun. 13, 1986 (AMP) — Mexico 86 : Denmark defeated Germany by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Friday at the Estadio Corregidora in Querétaro.

Denmark dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Jesper Olsen in the 43rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Danes further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Eriksen in the 62nd minute.

Denmark and Germany both advance to the Round of 16.
