NANTES, Jun. 16, 1998 (AMP) — France 98 : Brazil defeated Morocco by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday night at the Stade de la Beaujoire in Nantes.
Brazil dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ronaldo ('9) and Rivaldo ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Brazilians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Bebeto in the 50th minute.
The result put the Brazilians top of Group A with 6 points. Morocco is bottom with one point. In their last game, Brazil will meet second-placed Norway at the Stade de la Beaujoire on June 23, while Morocco will face Scotland.
