SAINT-ÉTIENNE, Jun. 23, 1998 (AMP) — France 98 : Morocco defeated Scotland by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday night at the Stade Geoffroy-Guichard in Saint-Étienne.
Salaheddine Bassir scored dual goals
Morocco dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Salaheddine Bassir in the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Moroccans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Hadda '46 and Bassir '85).
