MARSEILLE, Jun. 23, 1998 (AMP) — France 98 : Norway defeated Brazil by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday night at the Stade Vélodrome in Marseille.
Brazil made the Norvegians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Tore André Flo ('83) and Rekdal ('89 on penalty).
