INCHEON, Jun. 11, 2002 (AMP) — Korea Japan 2002 : Denmark defeated France by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday afternoon at the Munhak Stadium in Incheon.
Denmark dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Dennis Rommedahl in the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Danes further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Jon Dahl Tomasson in the 67th minute.
