NUREMBERG, Jun. 15, 2006 (AMP) — Germany 2006 : England defeated Trinidad and Tobago by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Thursday night at the Frankenstadion in Nuremberg.

Trinidad and Tobago made the Englishs doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Crouch ('83) and Gerrard ('90).

The result put the English top of Group B with 6 points. Trinidad and Tobago is third with one point. In their last game, England will meet second-placed Sweden at the Frankenstadion on June 20, while Trinidad and Tobago will face Paraguay.
