JOHANNESBURG, Jun. 12, 2010 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 : Argentina defeated Nigeria by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Saturday afternoon at the Ellis Park Stadium in Johannesburg.
All the action happened in the first half, with Argentine defender Gabriel Heinze goal in the 6th minute.
The result put the Argentine second in Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Argentina will meet group leaders South Korea at the Ellis Park Stadium on June 17, while Nigeria will face Greece.
