PORT ELIZABETH, Jun. 18, 2010 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 : Serbia defeated Germany by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Friday afternoon at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium in Port Elizabeth.
All the action happened in the first half, with Serbian midfielder Milan Jovanović goal in the 38th minute.
The result put the Germans top of Group D with 3 points. Serbia is third with 3 points. In their last game, Germany will meet second-placed Ghana at the Nelson Mandela Bay Stadium on June 23, while Serbia will face Australia.
