RUSTENBURG, Jun. 15, 2010 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 : New Zealand tied 1-1 with Slovakia (halftime: 0-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Tuesday afternoon at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg.
No goals in the first half and one each in the second, Reid ('90) for New Zealand, Vittek ('50) for Slovakia.
The result left all four teams in Group F (Italy, New Zealand, Paraguay and Slovakia), tied with one point. In their next game, Slovakia will meet group leaders Paraguay at the Royal Bafokeng Stadium on June 20, while New Zealand will face Italy.
