NELSPRUIT, Jun. 16, 2010 (AMP) — South Africa 2010 : Chile defeated Honduras by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Wednesday afternoon at the Mbombela Stadium in Nelspruit.
All the action happened in the first half, with Chilian midfielder Jean Beausejour goal in the 34th minute.
The result put the Chilians top of Group H with 3 points. In their next game, Chile will meet Switzerland at the Mbombela Stadium on June 21, while Honduras will face Spain.
