MANAUS, Jun. 25, 2014 (AMP) — Brazil 2014 : Switzerland defeated Honduras by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Wednesday afternoon at the Arena da Amazonia in Manaus.
Xherdan Shaqiri scored tripple goals
Switzerland dominated the first half thanks to goals from Shaqiri ('6, '31). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Swisss further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Shaqiri in the 71st minute.
