VOLGOGRAD, Jun. 25, 2018 (AMP) — Russia 2018 : Saudi Arabia defeated Egypt by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a World Cup group stage game on Monday afternoon at the Volgograd Arena.
Egyptian midfielder Mohamed Salah opened the score in the 22nd minute, before seeing Saudi Arabia catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Al-Faraj penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. The Saudis eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Al-Dawsari in stoppage time.
