VOLGOGRAD, Jun. 18, 2018 (AMP) — Russia 2018 : England defeated Tunisia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a World Cup group stage game on Monday night at the Volgograd Arena.
Harry Kane scored dual goals
English forward Harry Kane opened the score in the 11th minute, before seeing Tunisia catch up in the 35th minute thanks to Ferjani Sassi penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. The Englishs eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Kane in stoppage time.
The result put the English second in Group G with 3 points. In their next game, England will meet Panama at the Volgograd Arena on June 24, while Tunisia will face Belgium.
