NIZHNY NOVGOROD, Jun. 24, 2018 (AMP) — Russia 2018 : England defeated Panama by a big score of 6-1 (halftime: 5-0), in a World Cup group stage game on Sunday afternoon at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium.
Harry Kane scored tripple goals
England dominated the first half thanks to goals from Stones ('8, '40), Kane ('22 on penalty, '45 on penalty) and Lingard ('36). Leading 5-0 at the break, the Englishs further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Kane in the 62nd minute.
The result put the English top of Group G with 6 points. Panama is bottom with no points. In their last game, England will meet group leaders Belgium at the Nizhny Novgorod Stadium on June 28, while Panama will face Tunisia.
