SARANSK, Jun. 28, 2018 (AMP) — Russia 2018 : Tunisia defeated Panama by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a World Cup group stage game on Thursday night at the Mordovia Arena in Saransk.
Panama had started off well by taking the lead in the 33rd minute with an own goal by Meriah. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Tunisians nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Ben-Youssef '51 and Khazri '66).
