GERMANY, Sep. 16, 2017 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 4: Two wins in a row for Schalke 04. After their 3-1 win against Stuttgart on September 10, the Royal Blues continued their sensational form in the Bundesliga with a 2-1 victory over Werder Bremen this Saturday.
Werder Bremen defender Ludovic Sané opened the score in the 20th minute, before seeing Schalke 04 catch up in the 22nd minute thanks to Milos Veljkovic own goal. 1-1 at half time. The Royal Blues eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Goretzka with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
FC Schalke 04 climbed to third place with 9 points from 4 games, tie on points with Bayern Munich.
