GERMANY, Sep. 19, 2017 (AMP) — Bundesliga / Match day 5: Two wins in a row for Bayern Munich. After their 4-0 win against Mainz on September 16, the Bavarians continued their sensational form in the Bundesliga with a 3-0 victory over Schalke 04 this Tuesday.
Bayern Munich dominated the first half thanks to goals from Lewandowski ('25 on penalty) and Rodríguez ('29). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Bavarians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Vidal in the 75th minute.
Bayern Munich climbed to first place with 12 points from 5 games, a 2-point lead over runner-up Borussia Dortmund, which has a game in hand.
