Championship (Week 43) : Brighton defeats Wigan Athletic 2-1

ENGLAND, Apr. 17, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 43: Five wins in a row for Brighton & Hove Albion. After their success against Blackburn Rovers, Birmingham City, QPR and Wolverhampton Wanderers, the Seagulls continued their sensational form in the Championship with a 2-1 victory over Wigan Athletic this Monday.

Brighton & Hove Albion dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Glenn Murray in the 37th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Seagulls further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by March in the 65th minute.

Brighton and Hove Albion FC remains in first place with 92 points from 43 games, a 7-point lead over runner-up Newcastle United.
