ENGLAND, Apr. 17, 2017 (AMP) — Championship / Match day 43: After a 1-1 draw with Leeds United on April 14, the Magpies lost 3-1 against Ipswich Town.
Ipswich Town dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Freddie Sears in the 42nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Tractor Boys further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (McGoldrick '69 and Huws '90).
Newcastle United remains in second place with 85 points from 43 games, 7 points behind Brighton and Hove Albion FC.
