BELO HORIZONTE, Jun. 17, 2013 (AMP) — Brazil 2013 : Nigeria defeated Tahiti by a big score of 6-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a Confederations Cup group stage game on Monday afternoon at the Mineirao Stadium in Belo Horizonte.
Oduamadi scored tripple goals
Nigeria dominated the first half thanks to goals from Vallar ('5 own) and Oduamadi ('10, '26). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Nigerians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (J. Tehau '69/own, Oduamadi '76 and Echiéjilé '80).
The result put the Nigerians top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Nigeria will meet third-placed Uruguay at the Mineirao Stadium on June 20, while Tahiti will face Spain.
