Mexico beats Russia to advance to Confederations Cup semifinals
KAZAN, Jun. 24, 2017 (AMP) — Russia 2017 : Mexico defeated Russia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a Confederations Cup group stage game on Saturday night at the Kazan Arena.
Russian forward Aleksandr Samedov opened the score in the 25th minute, before seeing Mexico catch up in the 30th minute thanks to Araujo. 1-1 at half time. The Mexicans eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Lozano in the 52nd minute.
