TAIPEI, Mar. 5, 2005 (AMP) — South Korea 2005 (Qualifiers) : Taiwan defeated Guam by a big score of 9-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a East Asian Cup group stage game (Preliminary Round) on Saturday afternoon at the Zhongshan Soccer Stadium in Taipei.
The result put the Taiwanese top of the group with 3 points. In their next game, Taiwan will meet third-placed North Korea at the Zhongshan Soccer Stadium on March 9, while Guam will face Hong Kong.
