TAIPEI, Mar. 7, 2005 (AMP) — South Korea 2005 (Qualifiers) : North Korea defeated Mongolia by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 4-0), in a East Asian Cup group stage game (Preliminary Round) on Monday afternoon at the Zhongshan Soccer Stadium in Taipei.
The result put the Koreans third in the group with 3 points. Mongolia is fourth with no points. In their next game, North Korea will meet second-placed Taiwan at the Zhongshan Soccer Stadium on March 9, while Mongolia will face Guam.
