TAIPEI, Mar. 11, 2005 (AMP) — South Korea 2005 (Qualifiers) : Hong Kong defeated Taiwan by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a East Asian Cup group stage game (Preliminary Round) on Friday afternoon at the Zhongshan Soccer Stadium in Taipei.
The result put Hong Kong top of the group with 9 points. Taiwan is third with 3 points. In their last game, Hong Kong will meet second-placed North Korea at the Zhongshan Soccer Stadium on March 13, while Taiwan will face Mongolia.
