TAIPEI, Mar. 9, 2005 (AMP) — South Korea 2005 (Qualifiers) : North Korea defeated Taiwan by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a East Asian Cup group stage game (Preliminary Round) on Wednesday afternoon at the Zhongshan Soccer Stadium in Taipei.
The result put the Koreans second in the group with 6 points. Taiwan is third with 3 points. In their next game, North Korea will meet Guam at the Zhongshan Soccer Stadium on March 11, while Taiwan will face Hong Kong.
