La Liga (Week 9) : Real Madrid defeats Barcelona 3-1
SPAIN, Oct. 25, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 9: After three straigth victories against Granada, Rayo Vallecano and Eibar, Barca lost 3-1 against Real Madrid.
Barcelona forward Neymar opened the score in the 3rd minute, before seeing Real Madrid catch up in the 35th minute thanks to Cristiano Ronaldo penalty kick. 1-1 at half time. Los Blancos eventually won the game in the second period with two more goals by Pepe ('50) and Benzema ('61).
FC Barcelona remains in first place with 22 points from 9 games, one point ahead of runner-up Real Madrid.
