La Liga (Week 9) : Valencia beats Elche 3-1
SPAIN, Oct. 25, 2014 (AMP) — La Liga / Match day 9: After losing 3-0 to Deportivo La Coruna on October 19, Los Che bounced back with a 3-1 victory over Elche this Saturday.
Valencia dominated the first half thanks to goals from Mustafi ('13) and Parejo ('18). Leading 2-0 at the break, Los Che further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Lomban into his own net in the 63rd minute.
Valencia CF climbed to third place with 20 points from 9 games, only one point behind Real Madrid.
